Unilight and Diot-Siaci announce a strategic agreement for the Indian insurance market

Paris, May 17, 2024 – Diot-Siaci and Unilight shareholders have entered into an agreement allowing Diot-Siaci to acquire a majority stake in Unilight and to participate in the expansion of the Indian insurance market.

Based in Mumbai, Unilight operates in 8 Indian cities as an insurance broker specialized in professional and corporate risks and employs 170 people.

The group offers its services in reinsurance and corporate risks, with many areas of expertise ranging from the coverage of marine and cargo risks, port facilities, engineering and industry, as well as jewelry, financial lines and risks related to terrorism and political violence. Unilight places about 80 million euros of premiums each year.

By welcoming Unilight, Diot-Siaci strengthens its position in Asia and increases its synergy opportunities within its industry specialties, its geographic areas of activity and its access to the insurance market.

 This operation is subject to the approval of local and regulatory authorities.
